I’m excited to be playing again with the Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra on Saturday Sept. 6th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield, MN at 7pm!
At the very end of March we got one final mini snowstorm. I was performing in a small town that took 45 minutes on a two lane road with parts of it being dirt. Leaving the venue, the snow was blowing with 40mph winds, visibility was very low, and the dirt had turned to snowy mushy mud! It was worth it though, what a beautiful way to end winter 🙂
What a great time last Sunday was! We had a wonderful music selection with pieces from popular movies and musicals as well as guest tango dancers, a banjo player, and a powerful vocalist, Tesfa.
The Grand is such a nice space to perform at. Even with a balcony it’s still an intimate venue with a rich history. Looking forward to the next Bows Strings & Contentment Orchestra concert on June 15th, 2025!
Wow what a crazy journey this has been! I’ve been in MN almost 2 years.. I moved here from California sight unseen and… I really like it!!
My cello did not like the move at all, especially driving 26 hours in the middle of winter. Fortunately I found a great string shop in Minneapolis, House of Note, to take care of my baby. My cello and bow needed some very important repairs and they did a great job! They even helped fix my case so I didn’t need to buy a new one.
I’m excited to be a part of the musical community here in Southern Minnesota! I’ve been performing in various orchestras and symphonies including the Owatonna Symphony Orchestra, the Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra, and Northfield’s Bows, Strings, and Contentment Orchestra.
Looking forward to more performances and teaching students the magic of music through the cello!
