Love this Irish folk song.. it’s so fun to play!! One day I would love to have a St. Patricks Day concert and get some Irish dancers involved.. maybe 2027!?
It’s for two cellos but I added the third because Smokey made an appearance! Excerpt from Allegro from Concerto in G Minor for Two Cellos, RV 531 by A. Vivaldi
I recorded this on a cool March day, the moody piece matched the moody day 🙂
What a great love song! Christina Perri’s ” A Thousand Years” is such the perfect song for the upcoming holiday.. Valentines Day! And of course for the upcoming summer wedding season..
I made this version with 3 layers of cello.. plus a doggy at the end for the final touch. 🙂
Book your Valentine’s Day event today! A romantic dinner with cello is a wonderful idea.. a surprise proposal? I think it’ll be a yes!
Had a great time performing holiday music downtown Minneapolis the other day.. The space was really cool, it had so much reverb as you can hear. The elevators rang out, the coffee machines rang out, the people, luggage.. and me!
The high notes on the A string were especially vibrant. Even though there is a lot of ambient noise I thought this turned out pretty well 🙂
Book me for your next holiday party, including a romantic Valentine’s dinner or date or party!
I’m a guest performer with the Northfield Middle School choir on Tuesday Dec. 2 and I’m super excited to play this piece with them!
Under Winter Moon for choir, piano and cello by Andy Beck
The audio is a little messed up ughhhh.. I was trying to balance the sound from YouTube with the cello.. without using a proper microhpone!! oh well hopefully I get a better recording on the performance day!
I found a book of Bosnian folk music (aka Sevdah) for violin at the thrift store the other day and thought it was really interesting. I recorded this piece, Sarajevo:
I have so many other pieces I want to play and record! This is a good video about Sevdah and where it came from:
