When the weather isn’t great I like to record and film and edit and post all in one day! Sundays have that day lately and it’s a nice routine.
I originally recorded the bass clef of the piano part on cello but I liked it solo better.. enjoy!

It’s for 2 cellos and I love it so much! It’s Bach’s English Suite No 4 in F major.
It was kind of a gloomy day outside, I thought it matched the mood of the piece 🙂

I love this tone poem by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. He wrote it in 1899, this is the theme from “Finlandia” for 2 cellos.. me and myself!

What a great love song! Christina Perri’s ” A Thousand Years” is such the perfect song for the upcoming holiday.. Valentines Day! And of course for the upcoming summer wedding season..
I made this version with 3 layers of cello.. plus a doggy at the end for the final touch. 🙂

I found it in Renata Bratt’s book Celtic Grooves. She writes:
Ewie wi’ the Crooked Horn is a strathspey with roots in Scotland, Ireland, and over to Cape Breton.”

Had a great time performing holiday music downtown Minneapolis the other day.. The space was really cool, it had so much reverb as you can hear. The elevators rang out, the coffee machines rang out, the people, luggage.. and me!
The high notes on the A string were especially vibrant. Even though there is a lot of ambient noise I thought this turned out pretty well 🙂

Recorded this the other day and thought it turned out pretty good!
Things like this always take a lot longer to record than you’d think. First of all, the dryer isn’t a musical instrument so you can’t just hit “play”. It only sings when the laundry is done!
The shortest cycle is 4 minutes and you really don’t know exactly when it’s going to start singing… which means a lot of waiting around!
I ended up recording it on my Zoom h4 and then played along with that over and over.. and over again until the stars aligned and the laundry/music was done lol 🙂
